Your liability insurance questions answered
If you employ anybody in any capacity, it is a legal requirement to have an Employers' Liability insurance policy in force.
Whilst public liability and products liability are not compulsory, you will generally find that any principal you contract to will insist on a minimum level of cover being in place to fulfil your contract conditions.
Even if that's not the case, it makes sense to prevent having to pay massive amounts of compensation for as little as £60 a year.
Until recently, all directors of a limited company were deemed to be employees and an Employers' Liability policy was required. The Act has since been changed so that there are exceptions; give us a call and we'll explain your duties carefully so that you get the right cover you need.
We offer monthly payments on all policies. However, you will usually find that the premium is low that it may be more beneficial to pay for your cover in one go.
At the present time, we are not able to arrange short term insurance. All policies we offer are on 12 month contracts, although your do have the right to cancel at any time and obtain a rebate of premium. We can explain your rights when you discuss your quote with us.
